New York City Council Speaker Gifford Miller called on Mayor Bloomberg last Friday to drop the city’s lawsuit against the Equal Benefits Law. “We have been in an eight- month battle with the mayor over a law that would ensure that New York City uses taxpayer dollars to acquire goods and services from employers who treat all of their employees equally,” Miller said.
